Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) stock is trading up slightly (0.87%) in pre-market hours this morning after the company announced that they have finally and officially ditched Flash videos in favor of HTML 5.

Whether or not the move in price (as slight as it may be) has anything at all to do with the removal of Flash, is up to you to decide, but certainly this is a good move for a company that strives to stay ahead of the times. The most significant reason for this business move appears to be the security issues that Adobe Flash has caused for Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) users.

This does not, however, signal an end for Adobe and Facebook when it comes to utilizing their video playback on the social media website. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) says that they still plan to work with Adobe in order to bring a secure Flash experience to users.
