Trump Blocked me on Twitter For Saying He Doesn’t Care About Our Grandchildren

Authoritarian regimes are known for controlling the media and those individuals whom they govern. Critics are not permitted to speak out, and the opposition is not allowed to display views that are inconsistent with those held by the regime.

After what happened to me last night, I believe that the American government is slipping more and more away from democracy and more toward disastrous authoritarian leadership under President Donald Trump.

Last night, just moments after Donald Trump made this tweet, I responded to him with a comment that I felt was appropriate. That tweet (if you didn’t click the link above) was one in which he wrote, “I will be announcing my decision on Paris Accord, Thursday at 3:00 P.M. The White House Rose Garden. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”, and my response was as follows:

I merely provided my opinion that the Paris Agreement was of utmost importance, both for American jobs and for the survival of future generations.  I may be just 35 years old, but I care about my offspring.  I don’t want my generation to be the one that determines a horrible outcome for the livelihood of my children and grandchildren, and I honestly don’t believe that Donald Trump or anyone who thinks we should simply stop protecting our planet, really cares about the future they are leaving for their own offspring.

While this angers me to no end, what angers me even more is the fact that the President of the “free” world decided to block me from viewing and replying to his Twitter account for eternity.  I no longer can see messages that he posts, and I no longer have the same say in responding to his tweets as the rest of the American people do.  Sure I can create a new account to get around this, but that’s not the point.  President Donald Trump is virtually censoring free speech in order to become more of a an authoritarian.

I also learned that I’m not the only person who had his/her account blocked by Trump.  Apparently he has done it to others as well, and the number of blocked accounts continue to increase as days go by and more critics take aim at his administration via Twitter.  This is the start of an authoritarian government, and Americans everywhere should take note.
