Trump Supporter: If he had to cheat to win the election, I’m OK with that

The political landscape in America has certainly changed a lot since candidate Trump decided to run for President. While he claimed that his goal was to ‘unite America’, what he has ultimately done is divide the country even further. While past elections and past presidencies certainly have had their fair share of heated debates, today’s America is a country that has turned friends and family into adversaries and foes in a matter of months.

Social media may have played a role in this, especially with FAKE NEWS running rampant, stemming from propaganda that has originated from the far right and far left of the political spectrum. Gone are the days where Americans are rooting for the country to succeed, and here are the days where politicians have become the equivalent of professional sports athletes. While this isn’t true for all Americans, more and more have continued their support of Trump like Chicago Cubs fan supported their team for over 100 years, even though they hadn’t won a Championship.

This isn’t good for America, and this can be seen in a recent documentary by The Guardian, in which several Trump voters were questioned about their continued support for the 45th President, even after collusion with Russia looks more and more apparent.

One of these Trump supporters really shows how support for America, our democracy and our constitution has taken a backseat to support for a political party, and even more so a political figure — Donald Trump.

Jack Artley is his name, and he is a 43 year-old machine operator at Biospectra Pharmaceuticals in Bangor Pennsylvania. When asked about his support for Trump, albeit accusations of Russian collusion, he stated:

“I don’t know what all was done. No matter how it comes out, even if it comes out that there was some shady business going on there, I’d rather Trump [be] in there than [Hillary] Clinton. So, whether he had to cheat or not to get in, I’m OK with that.”

The entire documentary by The Guardian can be seen below. Artley’s remarks can be seen at the 1 minute 27 second mark.

Here you see supporters of Trump pretty much admit to supporting the man more out of pure fandom than for his policies and his accomplishments. Trump hasn’t done a single thing that has helped the people of Bangor, Pennsylvania, yet the people still support him. Why is this? Feel free to let us know your opinions in the comment section below.
