Golden Globe Score:, Inc. (AMZN) Defeats Netflix (NFLX) 2-0

Well, the 73rd Golden Globe Awards have come an gone, and one company has a lot to be proud of, while another probably feels a bit jipped. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) took home two Gold Globe Awards while competitor Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) didn’t win any., Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s “Mozart in the Jungle” won both awards – one for Best Comedy/Musical series, and another for “Best Actor”. Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), on the other hand, was nominated for eight awards but didn’t win any of them. Nominations included “House of Cards”, and “Narcos”, two of my personal favorites.

“Mozart in the Jungle” narrowly beat out Hulu’s “Casual”, but in the end, Amazon’s show brought home the trophy. Amazon is believed to be working on releasing 16 new exclusive movies in 2016, with hopes to win an Oscar or two as well.
