KellyAnne Conway Is the “Leaker”, Not James Comey

Throughout the first 140 days and 20 hours of the Donald Trump Presidency, leaks have slowly turned into a raging river of sensitive information. And while the President himself seems to be pushing a narrative that such leaks are coming from inside the intelligence community, even going as far as suggesting that James Comey himself may be responsible for many of these leaks, the facts point in another directions.

A tweet made just yesterday by President Trump pretty much targeted Comey as a major ‘leaker’, saying, “I believe the James Comey leaks will be far more prevalent than anyone ever thought possible. Totally illegal? Very ‘cowardly!”

While attention is all directed towards Comey, the actual leaks seem to be coming from within the Trump Adminstration itself. In fact, one of the more disliked individuals by the media, Kellyanne Conway, seems to be surprisingly front and center.

A new Twitter account, @KellyanneLeaks launched only a few days ago. At first the account seemed like just another suspicious Twitter handle but as tweets began coming in things changed in a hurry. The individual behind the account began posting images from within an exclusive DC party on Friday morning. The images were posted in conjunction with overheard conversations from the party on Thursday night.

One tweet read: ‘Kellyanne was at an embassy party last night, leaking sensitive Priebus and Trump White House conversations to @washingtonpost reporters’

A subsequent tweet, accompanied by another photo from the party showing Conway with her head in her hands, read as follows: ‘Before some WaPo folks joined her, she was talking about recent weeks in the WH to some other party guests. This expression was telling.’

The final tweet made by the account pertaining to the party read: ‘I should mention that @KellyannePolls was probably talking OTR to (Robert Costa), @danbalz and @PhilipRucker — but loudly, at a DC party.’

As you may have imagined, despite the images posted from the party, many within the media were somewhat skeptical of the content of the tweets until Politico, via two sources, confirmed that the conversations did in fact take place. I wonder if one of the sources was Conway herself.
