The irony of the Trump Presidency is almost too much for one to bare. In the midst of the mainstream media reporting on several breaking stories related to the Trump/Russia scandal, including confirmation that a Grand Jury has been impaneled in Washington DC, the President himself seems to be in his own little world.
At a West Virginia rally last night, where President Trump seemed to be reliving his days on the campaign trail, he excited the crowd once again with rhetoric about Hillary Clinton and the Democrats.
“The Russia story is a total fabrication. It’s just an excuse for the greatest loss in the history of American politics. It just makes them feel better when they have nothing else to talk about,” he yelled into the microphone. “What the prosecutors should be looking at are Hillary Clinton’s 33,000 deleted emails. And they should be looking at the paid Russian speeches,” he added.
At this point, his crowd of supporters were so riled up that they began chanting ‘Lock her up,” a familiar phrase directed towards opponent Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign. The President looked around the room like a proud father, smirking, and taking it all in. The video clip of this spectacle can be seen below:
Meanwhile, yesterday afternoon, multiple media outlets began reporting on the fact that special counsel Robert Mueller had impaneled a grand jury in Washington DC, and that multiple subpoenas have gone out for information and testimony related to the June 9, 2016 meeting that took place at Trump Tower, between Trump campaign officials and a Russian lawyer named Natalia Veselnitskaya.
