Over the years, President Trump has been known to say “You’re Fired!” whether it was on his TV show, “The Apprentice” or if it was in real life business situations. Now, as President though, the reverse is happening. Instead of Trump firing people left and right, members of his team are resigning at a rapid rate.

Over the course of the past few days, the members of Trump’s manufacturing council all resigned, and now today, 16 members the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, have stepped down as well.

“Speaking truth to power is never easy, Mr. President,” The letter, which can be seen to the right, read. “But it is our role as commissioners on the PCAH to do so. Art is about inclusion. The Humanities include a vibrant free press. You have attacked both. You released a budget which eliminates arts and culture agencies. You have threatened nuclear war while gutting diplomacy funding. The Administration pulled out of the Paris agreement, filed an amicus brief undermining the Civil Rights Act, and attacked our brave trans service members. You have subverted equal protections and are committed to banning Muslims and refugee women & children from our great country. This does not unify the nation we all love.”

That’s not all though. In response to President Trump’s lack of response to the Charlottesville terrorists, the committee has also asked the President himself to resign.

“Supremacy, discrimination, and vitriol are not American values,” the letter continued. “Your values are not American values. We must be better than this. We are better than this. If this is not clear to you, then we call on you to resign your office, too.”

From here, it will be interesting to see if other members of Trumps cabinet and committees also step down. Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments section below.
