There is no question that the people surrounding the President are not only dwindling, but they are seemingly becoming more moderate as well. The big names, such as Sebastian Gorka and Steve Bannon are gone, while names such as H.R. McMaster, John Kelly and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis have taken larger and larger roles over the last several weeks.
Typically here at IR.net, when we do a story about Trump, our main sources are those on the left, however with this story, our main source is none other than the alt-right social media personality Mike Cernovich. Cernovich, is clearly a Trump supporter, and has made quite an interesting claim this week. While Cernovich is known for his conspiracy theories, he does appear to have at least a source or two close to the White House, which feed him information on a regular basis. Breitbart caught wind of Cernovich’s claims and decided to interview him. This is what Cernovich had to say.
“I’d heard from people that Trump is on house arrest. I thought ‘oh c’mon, the President of the United States, that’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard’, but I kept digging into it and I kept hearing the same thing over and over again and then, of course, John Bolton wrote his column for National Review and he’s begging people to retweet it, he said ‘this is the only way the President is gonna see it.’ I don’t really understand, how can Trump not see who he wants to see? This is something I don’t really fully comprehend within the White House. I have talked to a lot of people, it’s a very weird situation.”
I heard [John] Kelly had taken his phone, so he wouldn’t be getting messages on his phone which again I thought was a weird story when people were telling me that I said, ‘come on, get out of here you can’t take the President’s phone this is incomprehensible’ but again that Bolton thing confirmed it and I’m not a big John Bolton fan personally, I don’t have anything against him but I found it amazing that he was, again, begging for retweets saying ‘the only way the President is gonna see my article is maybe if it goes viral,’ because it has to get past General Kelly, that shows there is some kind of coup going on there.”
Cernovich’s remarks about Bolton are related to the fact that Bolton claims that he can not get access to the President any longer. Bolton had written up a plan for the United States to exit the Iran nuclear deal, but he could no longer get his plan to the President.
Cernovich also claims that Kelly had taken the President’s phone away from him for a brief period of time, but has since given it back. With that said, according to Cernovich’s sources, Kelly still “listens in most of the time.” Additionally, Cernovich claims that the White House no longer hires anyone from the campaign to fill staff openings, and those who are deemed ‘Trump Supporters” are getting pay demotions.
Finally Cernovich claims that Tillerson will be leaving shortly and Nikki Haley will be filling his shoes. Meanwhile Dina Powell will likely fill Haley’s soon-to-be vacant position at the UN. Powell, according to Cernovich, is responsible for many of the recent leaks within the White House.
Cernovich’s conclusion is that the former Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications under President Barack Obama, Ben Rhodes is ‘colluding’ with H.R. McMaster in order to override the President’s authority. Kelly is also allegedly working with McMaster to basically put the President under house arrest. While Cernovich has a storied history of ridiculous conspiracy theories, he has proven in the past to have valid sources close to the White House.
Could McMaster, Kelly and others be working to limit the President’s power, in an effort to limit the damage he can do to our Republic? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments section below.
