If you are like me, then you are always interested in seeing what the trending topics on social media are. It’s almost as if you can get a brief overview of the day’s news and discussion topics simply by viewing trending topics on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. So, it came as no surprise to me when I awoke this morning to see the hashtag #TrumpsAWhiteSupremacist trending on Twitter.
After all, Trump has been seething over remarks made by ESPN anchor Jemele Hill who tweeted last Monday, “Donald Trump who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists”.
It all started last night when Co-founder of The Democratice Coalition, Scott Dworkin tweeted the following message:

Almost instantly, hundreds, then thousands of people began tweeting messages with the #TrumpsAWhiteSupremacist hashtag, and within 4 hours it was one of the top 10 trending topics on Twitter. Some of our favorite comments with this hashtag can be seen below:
