Apple (AAPL) Watch 2 Rumors Indicate a Possible Second Screen

Rumors today surrounding Apple Inc’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) forthcoming Apple Watch 2 indicate that the new device may feature a second screen built into the strap. The rumors stem from a patent application published earlier today titled ‘Woven Display’ which depicts an invention that enables fibers to be woven into the watch band which are then lit by LEDs in the watch’s quick-release slot.

According to the patent application, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) could also use the technology for a special wrist band worn by Apple iPad users. The stock is down 0.85% or $0.99 following the news, hitting $115.29 per share. Approximately 15.29M shares traded hands. AAPL shares have declined 7.09% since April 30, 2015 and are currently downtrending. It has underperformed the S&P500 by 6.89%.
