Twitter Inc (TWTR) Unveils Larger, Richer Images

Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) today unveiled a new look for images posted within user’s social feeds. The new changes embrace rich media at their finest, allowing entire images to be diplayed within a feed, without any cropping. Prior to these changes images would be cropped to fit in a specific area, oftentimes cutting off a significant portion of either the top or bottom of each image.

“Starting today, we’re making your twitter.com timeline more immersive by uncropping photos, so you can experience and present them as they were meant to be viewed,” stated the company on their blog. “We’re also introducing larger, more beautiful multi-photo displays, which bring out more of each photo.”

In addition to how single images are displayed, Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) has also made some minor tweaks to the layout of posts if more than one images is uploaded. The stock is down 2.52% or $0.63 following the news, hitting $24.39 per share. Approximately 14.10M shares traded hands. TWTR shares have declined 33.95% since May 4, 2015 and are currently downtrending. It has underperformed the S&P500 by 32.87%.
