Intel Corporation (INTC) Opens Preorders for RealSense Smartphone with Array of 3D Cameras

3D movies, 3D photos, 3D anything! That’s what the selling point may be for Intel Corporation’s (NASDAQ:INTC) RealSense Smartphone Developer Kit that the company just made available for preorder.

The Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) RealSense Smartphone DK can now be reserved for just $399. It features an Atom X7-Z8700 processor, a 6-inch (2560×1440) screen, 2 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage and most intriguing several 3D cameras.

The phone features an Intel® RealSense™ Camera ZR300 which integrates a depth camera for computing high density depth and a wide field view camera with gyroscope. It will certainly be interesting to see what types of applications developers come up with for the 3D vision capabilities.
