Apple Inc. (AAPL) Out to Show the iPhone Camera is For Real with “Shot on iPhone” Campaign

I personally spent over $1300 for a highly sophisticated DSLR camera, one that I admit takes tremendous photos. However, while it allows for many more indepth settings, and a plethora of different lense options, I must admit that when it comes to simplicity, nothing beats the camera on my Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6s Plus. I would be willing to bet that this is what Apple was hoping for, after pouring millions of dollars into the development of their mobile device cameras.

Because of this, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has just relaunched their new “Shot on iPhone” campaign, a campaign aimed at showing that amateaur and proressionals alike can take some really tremendous photos via their iPhones. Strarting yesterday, according to TIME the company will be unleashing a campaign featuring 53 photos taken by 41 professional and amateur photographers from across the globe. This rendition of the campaign will focus on portraits, capturing people in everyday moments, via the photographers’ iPhone 6s or 6s Plus devices.

Starting yesterday, these photos are being displayed on billboards in 26 countries worldwide.

Apple stock increased 3.45% or $3.25 during the last trading session, hitting $97.34. About 33,600 shares traded hands. AAPL has declined 23.65% since June 25, 2015 and is downtrending. It has underperformed the S&P500 by 13.45%.

Barclays Capital has a “Overweight” rating and a $142 price target on shares. Finally, Maxim Group maintained the stock with a “Buy” rating in a report they issued on a January 27.
