So who’s man enough to date the current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, Ronda Rousey? How about the 255 pound UFC Heavyweight fighter Travis Browne?
That’s right, although Browne won’t call it ‘dating’, he has opened up about the relationship the two fighters are involved in after months of speculation.
“I remember when I used to date in High School,” explained Browne. “You would have a girlfriend or boyfriend or this and that. Man, dating is for children. Over the summer, through all of the shit I had to shuffle through, Ronda and I started talking. I will say now that we are together. She is my woman and I am her man. So there is no boyfriend, girlfriend stuff. We’re not dating, we are together.”
The two were rumored to be dating since August when Browne’s estranged girlfriend and fitness model, Jenna Renee Webb, accused him and Rousey of seeing each other. Webb had also accused Browne of domestic violence via Instagram which led the UFC to begin an investigation into the heavyweight. The investigation concluded with the UFC finding no conclusive evidence of such domestic violence.
Rousey, who has shot to fame over the last couple of years, earning ESPY’s in both 2014 and 2015 for Best Female Athlete, has a 12-0 mixed martial arts record since 2011. Her last three fights were won in an incredible 16, 14, and 34 seconds respectively.
Browne, on the other hand, who has lost three of his last seven fights in the Heavyweight division, has been struggling as of late, but at least not from a personal perspective.
“I know her as one of the hardest working athletes that I’ve ever seen, in this gym busting her butt on a daily basis,” he said. “And through our own personal experiences of how compassionate and really how much of a sweetheart she really is. That’s what a lot of people don’t see out of her. They see that, but they don’t really get to experience that.”
Brown has two sons, Kaleo and Keawe with his ex-wife Erin, and no children with his previous girlfriend Webb. The two fighters certainly make a power couple, and one has to wonder who would win in a bout. Any thoughts?
