Family Friend: Trump Jr. Miserable, Wants Presidency To Be Over

Donald Trump Jr. has been in the spotlight quite a bit over the last two weeks. Following the revelation by the New York Times that he had met with multiple officials, likely working on the part of the Russian government, even those within the GOP now question some of his actions.

One would think that generally the children of a sitting US President would be quite content with life, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with Don Jr. and Eric Trump, who currently run their father’s business. According to friends close to both men, the two hate their roles as first-sons and never wanted any of this. Don Jr., however, is particularly upset about his circumstances, and taking this whole email fiasco quite hard.

“Don can’t do any deals, because he’ll be overly scrutinized. He just goes to work every day and is miserable,” a friend of the two brothers told People.

Trump Jr. likely feels that he’s caught between a rock and a hard place. His loyalty to his father is as strong as can be, and if he were to find himself in a major legal predicament, it’s very likely that he’d take the fall in order to spare his father.

“The loyalty within this family is insane,” says a family friend. “They would never speak against their dad.”

Another friend added, “You can’t bite the hand that feeds you, but he [Don Jr.] can’t wait for these four years to be over.”

As the Mueller investigation moves forward and additional leaks make their way to the press, it will be interesting to watch and see how both Eric and Don Jr. react, especially if signs continue to point toward a conspiracy of collusion between their father’s campaign and Russia.  Don Jr. has five children and enjoys his time out of the public’s view, oftentimes going out in the wilderness, hunting, and fishing.  Could he possibly be ready to break?
