It’s been just three days since White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci was forced to resign after only 10 days on the job. The resignation, just one of many within the Trump Administration over the last several weeks, was one of the more publicized, merely because of the fact that Scaramucci seemed to be such a large personality.
His resignation was likely forced because of an obscene interview he had with The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza days prior, in which he had choice words for then Chief of Staff Reince Priebus as well as Senior White House Adviser Steve Bannon. A few of his choice remarks were as follows:
“I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own c*ck.”
“Reince is a fu**ing paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac. ‘Oh, Bill Shine is coming in. Let me leak the fucking thing and see if I can cock-block these people the way I cock-blocked Scaramucci for six months.’”
“What I’m going to do is, I will eliminate everyone in the comms team and we’ll start over…I ask these guys not to leak anything and they can’t help themselves…You’re an American citizen, this is a major catastrophe for the American country. So I’m asking you as an American patriot to give me a sense of who leaked it.”
“They’ll all be fired by me. I fired one guy the other day. I have three to four people I’ll fire tomorrow. I’ll get to the person who leaked that to you. Reince Priebus—if you want to leak something—he’ll be asked to resign very shortly.”
While it’s always fun to read odd obscene remarks by public figures, it’s even more fun to actually listen to them come out of their mouths, and just minutes ago, The New Yorker released the audio recording of this interview between Scaramucci and Lizza. This recording can be heard below:
Scaramucci later claimed that the conversation was supposed to be “off the record,” but Lizza refuted these claims, saying that “there were no ground rules set.”
